Characteristics: Left handed course. Chases, hurdles and flat races over an oval circuit of approximately nine and a half furlongs. The bends are well cambered and a watering system has been installrd. There is a starting chute of approximately half a furlong. Beautiful lakeside setting.

Brief History: Race meetings were held frequently in Killarney on two different courses between the years 1822 to 1901. In 1936 after a lapse of 35 years, racing was resumed here on a third course.
